Sokoto Advocacy Campaign on Education

Project Summary

UDO Foundation carried out a sensitization campaign on education in

this community to gather support towards reducing the high number of out-of-school children in the state.

We had key stakeholders present; including a Director in Sokoto State Ministry of Education, the District Head, other community leaders, influential businessmen, teachers, parents, and youths.

Participants were enlightened on the value of education and its benefits to society. They committed to supporting UdoFoundation in taking children off the streets in the state. Two committees were set up in that regard, to work with UDOFoundation ahead of the school enrollment project for the next academic session.

UDOFoundation planned to offer full scholarships to 15 out-of-school children in the community.
