Sokoto Community Sensitization Event

We did it!

UDOFoundation carried out a sensitization campaign on education in Mabera Tsohon Gida community in Sokoto state on August 5th, 2023.

We had key stakeholders present; they include a Director in Sokoto State Ministry of Education, the District Head, other community leaders, influential businessmen, teachers, parents, and youths.

Participants were enlightened on the value of education and its benefits to society. They committed to supporting UdoFoundation in taking children off the streets in the state. Two committees were set up in that regard, to work with UDOFoundation ahead of the school enrollment project for the next academic session.

UDOFoundation plans to offer full scholarships to 15 out-of-school children in the state.

We appreciate the state authorities, Mabera Tsohon Gida community leaders and members for being open-minded. Together we will reduce the number of the over 400,000 out-of-school children in the community.
