UDOF has awarded scholarships and enrolled 19 out-of-school children in Mabera Tsohon Gida Community Primary School, Sokoto State.
These are children who have been left behind in learning, and may never have gone to school without support.
They are from poor backgrounds, with widowed and single mothers. Life has been very difficult and some of these girls were at risk of being married off early if the remained at home.
UDOF has offered them full scholarships to cover their primary school education.
By giving these children access to education, we have leveled the playing field for them to realise their potential and live better lives.
