Education4All Scholarship - Enugu State

UDOF has awarded scholarships to 15 out-of-school children in Enugu State.

Uhuona is a remote village in Nkanu East LGA in Enugu State. There is a high rate of poverty among its residents who are mostly small-scale farmers and petty traders.

We know that in such difficult living conditions, education is not a priority. Children are made to farm or hawk to support the family.

It was in this state that UDOF intervened for 15 children who wished to get an education but had no means. Some of their mothers were poor widows.

We have offered them full scholarships to complete their primary education. You could see the excitement on the faces of the children and parents.

We would not stop to get them off the streets tthe classrooms, because that is where they belong.
