Counseling Support

Children living in conflict areas especially in Northern Nigeria witness horrible atrocities. We are working to address their psychosocial needs and promote their mental well-being.

The farmer-herder crises, banditry, kidnappings, killings and burning down of villages are some sad experiences children in specific states have to cope with.

These can affect their mental health if not handled properly. That is why we pay careful attention to the psychological needs of our direct beneficiaries and their families.

To achieve this, we do the following:

  • Provide trauma-informed care and counseling services to beneficiaries and families affected by conflict or violence.

  • Establish safe spaces and support groups for survivors of trauma, including children, women, and displaced populations.

  • Train teachers, healthcare workers, and community leaders in psychosocial support techniques and stress management strategies.

  • Advocate for policies and programs that prioritize mental health services and promote stigma reduction in communities.
